There are a lot of highly useful skills to pick up throughout this course. Everything from getting to know your visitors to monetizing your site and strategy. Not only are you given the information through video lecture to follow along but, you’ll also be able to put your knowledge to the test with hands-on projects. Now, let’s take a deeper look into each section, looking into what you’ll be walking away with from each one.

Growth and Acquisition Strategy

This section is all about getting to know your visitors. Using analysis tools, you’ll learn to identify your market and select a target audience. Then, learn how to create a strategy that hones in on that market, bringing you bigger and better results. At the end, you’ll actually create a strategy and optimize it based off of collected information. You’ll be designing on the B2B cloud infrastructure, one of the most used in the market.

Activation and Retention Strategy

Here, you will learn how to keep visitors on your page longer. The project at the end of this section will have you create an activation tunnel, one that will lead users to sign up more often.

Monetization Strategy

It’s all about the money in this section! You’ll see how you can earn money off of the construction of certain purchase paths. You will see how to test and measure the effectiveness of your strategy, using the results to help you tweak your strategy to deliver the results you were hoping for. At the end, you’ll be given a chance to make your own model for monetizing. Based off of the results, you can create a hypothesis that will allow you to do things better the next time around.

How Long Does It Take?

We mentioned above that you have the freedom and flexibility to create your own schedule. This means that you can take as long as you’d like but, you might want to think twice about that. Why, you may ask? That is because you have to take the cost into consideration, one thing that goes hand in hand with the time that you take.

Before we get to that, Udacity does offer a bit of an estimate for the duration of the course. Their estimate includes the duration of three months when dedicating about 10 hours per week. Before beginning the course, it is best to take a look at the space you have in your calendar, knowing which way to pay suits you.

How Much Does It Cost?

This brings us to the next item on the list, the cost. Udacity offers two ways to pay, each in an attempt to cater to any student with any type of budget. The way you choose to pay should be thought out first, allowing you to save some dough.

Pay Per Month

If you decide to take this route, you will be charged per month of access. In this way you can take as long as you’d like but, you might want to keep on track. That is because the cost per month comes out to $359, a price which could add up quickly is some kind of schedule is not made.

Udacity’s Estimate

If you choose to take the academies estimate, you can enjoy a bit of a discount but, you will be asked to pay up front. The estimate is there for a few reasons, one of them being the Udacity deal. They take the three month estimate and throw in a 15% discount, giving you the chance to choose this method and take the recommended route as far as timing goes.

What Have Leaners Said?

This is actually a brand new Udacity course so there are no reviews yet. While this might seem a bit of a risk when you’re unsure of how the course will be, you can rest assured that the academy as a whole, and courses similar to this one, come with a high rating. This course is set to drop in June, already coming with a certain sense of anticipation as growth product management happens to be one of the hottest careers on the market today.

A Look at the Job Market

A recent look into the market by AC Lion, revealed the reasons why a career such as growth product management is on the rise.  We are seeing the market evolve right before our eyes, watching as each and every company makes their way to the web. This, of course, calls for a new style of manager, one that can seek out growth and retention from using the latest analysis tools.

Comparably took a look at the average salaries of those that hold the title of growth product manager and they are high, climbing up over $100,000. The median falls at $125,000, plus, this is a job known for climbing up ladders. Each step up means a raise or even a bonus, with some of the most in demand managers making unbelievable amounts per year. ProductLED’s claim that the position is still in its beginning stages makes it an attractive time to hop on in. There are sure to be a whole surge of creations of jobs all around the market and, growing your skills now, means that you will be beating a whole lot of people to the punch.

Before you Go…

This is not a course that comes with a strong rating or any reviews for that matter. It is brand spanking new but, it is promising. Udacity has a solid reputation, one that has led them to become one of the top online academies out in the world wide web today. With all the extras and perks that come with each nanodegree and the instructors which all have impressive backgrounds, any course is highly recommended.

One thing that should be kept in mind is the time that you take, making sure not to drive up the cost passed a certain point. This will help you to avoid an unexpected high cost that could result from not staying on track. The best thing to do is take a look at your schedule and the time you would like to dedicate to this course, using that to help you decide which way to pay and how long you want to take. A new career that is super-hot can be yours, and Udacity’s new nanodegree could be just the place to start.
